Well done to Birkenhead Park – it’s been awarded a Green Flag!
This September Birkenhead Park is to host the first Wirral Mystery Play. A mystery play focuses on stories depicted in The Bible – you can find out more about them in this Wikipedia article. Mystery plays are common in cathederal cities such as Chester, Lincoln and York.

The visitor centre at Birkenhead Park is currently exhibiting the work of (all ages) students from Birkenhead Sixth Form College.
Being showcased is art work that has been inspired by Birkenhead Park – the artwork covering fine art, graphics, textiles and photography.
Evening class student Claire Breckell took the prize for the photograph that best represented the Park.
